2 minute read

This November, all eyes were on Glasgow as 120 world leaders convened there to deliberate upon the most effective strategies to stop and reverse climate change. 2 members of the envoPAP team had the privilege of attending the event and witnessing history unfold in front of their eyes. We also attended a futuristic trade show in Germany and joined TCP (The Climate Pledge), co-founded by Amazon.
As we enter the final month of the year, let’s take a moment to think about all the challenges we overcame in 2021 and appreciate how we well we have moved onwards and upwards, together.

COP26 hasn’t solved the problem

Researchers have expressed relief that the meeting did produce an agreement, but some left COP26 dissatisfied at the lack of stronger commitments to reduce emissions and failure to agree “loss and damage” finance for countries vulnerable to climate change.

What has been agreed upon at COP26

The agreement – although not legally binding – will set the global agenda on climate change for the next decade. Read on to find out about agreements on coal and methane emissions, deforestation and how countries will be made to meet their pledges.

envoPAP at COP26

In this month’s envoBLOG our Global Operations Lead, Khaliun Purev pens her experience of attending the event over 2 days in Glasgow.

The Climate Pledge

At envoPAP, we’re committed to reaching net zero carbon emissions by 2040. That’s why we joined The Climate Pledge and teamed up with like-minded companies, all working together towards a solution. #COP26 #COP26Glasgow #TogetherToNetZero
