envoPAP exhibited at Fachpack in Nuremberg from September 28-30, 2021 for the first time.
For our company and the packaging industry, it was the first live trade fair after almost two years. So we were more than curious about the response. Would the number of visitors be large or would the corona uncertainty persist? The fair was packed on all days and the audience reaction was promising to say the least! You could feel their desire to visit a trade fair in person again, to talk to people, to learn about news and to exchange ideas.
Team envoPAP was excited to interact with this wave of visitor-flow. We had developed a new design for our booth that focused on our messages of packaging made from fresh agricultural fibres and were on site with six envoPAP specialist ‘Fachpackers’ to make new contacts and inspire the audience with innovative envo-ideas. Over 3 days we were able to hold more than 300 discussions, some of them very intensive, with global concerns on the one side but also with smaller new partners for whom sustainability in production has now become the focus of their activities.
This multitude of discussions will result in business relationships and new partnerships in the near future. But one thing became clear at this trade fair: not only is the industry looking for alternatives to plastic, but also for new raw materials for packaging in order to further reduce our dependence on the global forest population.
An envoPAP highlight was the ceremony of Packaging Europe’s Sustainability Awards. We were nominated in the ‘e-commerce’ category, along with three other companies, in what was the first year this category was added to the final for the award. We didn’t win, but the most serious, rigorous and prestigious international competition for sustainability in packaging has recognised our innovation as a possible solution to the global packaging crisis, for which we feel honoured. We were also able to show the live and online audience who we are and what we stand for.
We from the EnvoPAP team would like to especially thank our colleague Suvid Shaha, who came from Pune, India especially for the trade fair to support us. It was a pleasure to experience his personable sympathetic manner and his competence. He made our team even more valuable. We would also like to thank everybody that worked on delivering the Fachpack exhibition, you did a fantastic job!
